The Ministry of Development and Infrastructure of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia will undertake the repair of the highway of the Rambla de la Carrasquilla, in the surroundings of Los Nietos, which was affected by the consequences of the DANA registered last month of September.
The work will be carried out in addition to those already committed by the regional administration on different roads in the municipality of Cartagena for an amount of about 600 thousand euros.
The announcement made today by the counselor José Ramón Díez de Revenga came after the request transmitted by the vice mayor, Noelia Arroyo, and the mayor of Infrastructure, María Casajús, at the meeting they had with the counselor, before visiting the performances that.
They are already running in other parts of the municipality.
The Deputy Mayor of Cartagena, Noelia Arroyo, has indicated that the arrangement of the Rambla de la Carrasquilla road is a historical claim of the neighbors and has expressed satisfaction with the positive response of the Autonomous Community.
Arroyo recalled that when this ravine overflowed, the water goes to the Lengua de la Vaca and ends up affecting the beach of Los Nietos.
The Minister of Development and Infrastructure, José Ramón Díez de Revenga, explained that the problem with the Rambla de la Carrasquilla is the crossroads with a road that has little traffic but is one of the main accesses of Los Nietos.
He has also announced that the works will begin as soon as they have the Natural Environment permit.
600 THOUSAND EUROS IN ROADS AFFECTED BY THE DANA
Apart from the Carrasquilla, the Autonomous Community is investing more than 600,000 euros in points of the Road Network of the Region of Murcia that are in the municipality of Cartagena and that have been affected by the cold drop of September.
The counselor, the vice mayor and the Councilor for Infrastructure have visited this morning the works that are executed for an amount of about 230,000 euros in the repair of the road that connects La Puebla with Pozo Aledo.
The action includes the repair of the eroded slope, at another point on the regional road, which has produced a lateral step of approximately 30 meters in length and a height of more than one meter.
It will also proceed to the cleaning of the plant material, reeds and shrubs, which have been deposited in the margins preventing in some points the visibility of the safety barrier, which has been left without captafaros and that will have to be restored.
Once the works are finished, it will be necessary to repaint the road markings, both axis and lateral bands, since the accumulation of mud in the road has left them without visibility.
In addition, two more actions are going to be carried out to solve flood damage in regional roads that run in Cartagena.
On the road that runs between El Albujón and Los Beatos (RM-311), the Ministry will perform a timely action to repair a breakage of the firm for a value close to 50,000 euros.
Another work will also be done on the RM-F54 road that connects Los Belones with Los Urrutias.
