Throughout the month of November the process of constitution of the Municipal Neighborhood Boards begins.
Thus today, Monday, November 18, the first of them will take place, that of Pozo Estrecho, starting at 8 pm in the social premises.
She will be followed on Tuesday, November 19, by El Algar, at 9 pm in the social premises.
On Wednesday, November 20, it will be the turn of El Llano del Beal, at 20 hours at the local school.
On Thursday 21, the neighborhood council of Alumbres will be constituted, at 20 hours in the social premises;
and on Friday, November 22 will be that of Molinos Marfagones, at 20 hours in the social premises.
The following week will continue the constitutions in La Palma, La Aljorra, El Albujón, La Puebla, Los Dolores, Perín and Isla Plana-La Azohía
About 70,000 people reside in the territories of these twelve neighborhood boards and manage a budget of more than 1.2 million euros.
The municipal decentralizing bodies are each composed of nine members who are assigned in proportion to the results obtained in the past Municipal Elections, according to the following distribution.

As a preliminary step to the constitution of these decentralization bodies of the Cartagena City Council, reports were requested both from the General Directorate of Public Administrations, the Legal Counsel and the Plenary Secretariat, regarding the members appointed by the Socialist Municipal Group, and the three organizations conclude that said appointment came before the expulsion of the councilors of the PSOE, so that the members can take possession without altering the representation that emanates from the municipal elections.
