Moderator: María Jesús Morillas, of the Cartagena Piensa Promoter Group.

"Men and women continue to present, today, clear differences in their ways of relating to each other and to the world in general. There is still gender inequality. To understand the keys to that difference, and fight for a society with real equality of rights between the two, it is necessary to understand the origin and development of their respective identities. From an interdisciplinary perspective, which accommodates archaeological, historical, sociological, philosophical and psychoanalytic studies, Almudena Hernando tries to unravel the keys to the process that has led to the current modeling of the identity of men and women, revealing the traps and concealments contained in the social (patriarchal) discourse in which we all socialize. "

Almudena Hernando is a Professor of Prehistory at the Complutense University and a member of the Feminist Research Institute of that university.

He is dedicated to the study of human identity and has written several books, including Archeology of Identity and the fantasy of individuality.

On the socio-historical construction of the modern subject.
