With the CEIP San Isidoro and Santa Florentina, the 'Astronomy Center' Program organized by the Department of Education of the City Council of Cartagena has begun, with a series of visits that will be carried out by 23 educational centers in the municipality to the Astronomical Center of Cartagena throughout this course 2019/2020.
A visit that consists of an informative talk about astronomy in general and about the facilities that are going to be visited and the activities that will be carried out.
This introduction takes place in the Multiple Acting hall.
Subsequently, the facilities of the center and the astronomical observation domes East and West Dome are visited.
There a solar observation is carried out through ASAC telescopes and once made, 3D projections are visualized on the ASAC portable planetarium.
The objective of the 'Astronomy Center' of Education program is the dissemination of the Science of Astronomy, as well as the interest, observation and curiosity for all topics that are related to astronomical science.
In addition, Primary, Secondary and Bachelor students who visit the Astronomy Center of Cartagena will receive the workbook 'A journey through the stars' to strengthen the concepts learned in this visit.
