'Impulsa Cartagena', an initiative of the Municipal Group MC, starts tomorrow addressing transparency in public management (13/11/2019)

It will be from 7:00 p.m., in the Municipal Archive, with the participation of the president of the Transparency Council, José Molina

Tomorrow, Thursday, the 'Impulsa Cartagena' initiative will begin, a program of activities promoted by the MC Cartagena Municipal Group to address priority issues for the present and future of Cartagena with associations, groups and the general public.

The first appointment of 'Impulsa Cartagena' will arrive tomorrow, starting at 7:00 p.m., in the Municipal Archive (Artillery Park), with the celebration of the talk 'Transparency and Governance in the management of the public', offered by the president of the Transparency Council of the Region, José Molina.

The Councilor of MC and responsible for Transparency of the Cartagena education, María José Soler, said that "our municipal group takes the initiative with 'Impulsa Cartagena' assuming the responsibility of being the most voted list and the party chosen by the Cartagena to change the direction of our city, hope that has been halted by the Pact of Shame perpetrated by PP, Citizens and the PSOE transfugas. "

The mayor recalled that "we were the ones who brought new airs to the City Hall, moving from the obscurantism of the fatal stage of the PP to receive during our Cartagenerist Government the distinction to the most transparent municipality in the Region, as far as public communication is concerned ".

"We launched the Transparency Portal framed by a Department dedicated exclusively to implement this way of understanding politics and promoted the transparency training of public employees, among many other initiatives that had the result known to all. However, now we attend a very different reality with a Government that continues to deny us to participate in the Contracting Board, skips the procedure on basic issues such as the approval of ordinances and restricts us freedom of expression and free participation in plenary sessions, "he said. Soler expressed.

"For all this we have considered it appropriate to start 'Impulsa Cartagena' with José Molina, president of the Transparency Council of the Region, to whom we should thank him for being a guarantor of transparency, a brave person whose voice is always ready to rise in front of the corruption".

As a result of the work with José Molina, María José Soler has reported that MC included in its Government Program "contributions as important as influencing Open Government practice, access to information and participation, as well as the creation of a Platform of Citizen Participation so that citizens can get their ideas and suggestions, giving them a voice to build the municipality we all want, highlighting the importance of the neighborhood associative movement. "
