"For the third consecutive year, the Cartagena Enganche Club (Asociación AURIGA) organizes the National Tradition Engagement Contest City of Cartagena.
With great effort and enthusiasm we work so that our contest gradually becomes a reference in the world of the hitch in the Spanish Levante, and a cultural and social event of relevance in Cartagena.
We want it to be a stimulus and an incentive for those fans and owners of cars and old horse carriages to be encouraged to restore them, maintain them and take care of them, and be able to have the opportunity to enjoy it and show it in the incomparable setting offered by the port from Cartagena.
This entails the recovery of old trades such as blacksmiths, carpenters, saddlebags, upholsterers, etc., to restore these already collectible pieces and put them into use even if only for this type of event, because otherwise they would fall into oblivion and their deterioration would that were irrecoverable pieces.
One more year we have the advice and support of the Royal Enganches Club of Andalusia, with its three most illustrious international judges, which will again give this event the category it deserves, placing it in the calendar of contests of tradition-worthy hooks to take into account among all those carried out in the Spanish geography, especially in Andalusia.
We will also count on the collaboration of the Huerta club “El carro-carrouaje†and members of our Club who will contribute to our contest the cars and carriages typical of the Region of Murcia, trying to care for and value our heritage.
We will meet again in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere with friends and fans from Almeria, Ronda, Lorca, Murcia, Alicante, Albacete and Gerona.
We want everyone who comes to Cartagena to know its cultural and architectural wealth.
We want to enjoy and enjoy the surroundings of our beautiful port.
