Tradition and modernity come together at the Cartagena stand in the Region of Gastronomic Murcia (09/11/2019)

Cartagena has been protagonist this Saturday in the event Region of Murcia Gastronomic with the official presentation of the stand that during the four days of the event will show the quality of product, service and preparation that the municipality has through its professionals in the sector hotelier.

The act has had the deputy mayor and councilor for tourism, Manuel Padín, as master of ceremonies and with the participation of the president of the Association of Merchants of Cartagena (Hostecar), Juan José López;

as well as the assistance of the general director of Competitiveness and Tourism Quality, Esther Tenza, and the mayor of the Government Team, Juan Pedro Torralba, Irene Ruiz, Cristina Pérez, Alejandra Gutiérrez and Carlos Piñana.

The deputy mayor, in his speech, highlighted the collaboration hand in hand with the professionals of the hospitality sector in the organization of the event and has invited all the municipalities of the Region to participate in this type of meetings to promote gastronomy.

For his part, the president of Hostecar, thanked the efforts of the hoteliers and invited visitors to get to know Cartagena through its gastronomy.

As for the gastronomic section, the Cartagena station has had the fusion of tradition and modernity among the kitchens with the presence of the Hotel Los Habaneros Restaurant and La Cangreja.

Juan Andrés Páez, from Los Habaneros, has offered visitors a beef stew and a Cartagena cake, along with a gastronomic tribute to the Mar Menor with a base of cauldron crumbs, milk shashimi, lacquered prawns, tosaka seaweed and light mayonnaise.

For his part, Daniel Díaz, from La Cangreja, has prepared Beijing pork bath and Satay cheek cheese quesadilla.

In addition to these two restaurants, the Cartagena station counts on the event with the participation of Sacromonte Restaurant and Café Lab, yesterday Friday;

as well as Tavern gourmet & wine Nimuú and Bodega Viña La Cerca, which will be tomorrow Sunday;

and Frigoríficos Morales and the School of Hospitality and Tourism of the port city, which will close the program on Monday.

In the musical aspect, the day has been enlivened by the music of Don Sax.

In addition to the Cartagena stand, the presence of local cuisine is also reflected in the Murcia Gastronomic Region through the individual stations of Andrés Mora Distribuciones, JoséDíaz, Altuntún, La Taberna del Puerto and SOqUM.
