The neuropsychologist José Ramón Gamo will talk about ADHD in the Family School of Education (04/11/2019)

The child neuropsychologist José Ramón Gamo will give a lecture on Monday, November 11 at 5:30 p.m. at the UNED auditorium in Cartagena on 'ADHD in adolescence a fun tsunami'.

This talk is included in the educational program 'Family School' of the Department of Education of the City of Cartagena.

This conference will talk about attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in adolescents.

According to experts, this stage is difficult from the neuropsychological point of view.

In this age, critical thinking, the sense of 'I' is consolidated and our personality is configured.

A stage considered one of the great windows for learning, but with peculiarities that involve a neurofunctional “tsunami”.

The emotional brain is in full "San Fermin" and the executive brain, responsible for impulse control, regulate emotions and anticipate the consequences, at a time of reorganization.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

José Ramón Gamo is a founding partner of CADE Centers.

Specialist in Hearing and Language, Child and Developmental Neuropsychology.

Technical director of the Active Education Foundation and psychopedagogical director of the Lumen Project of educational and psychological care.

Co-founder of Niuco.

He went from pathology to vocation.

With 16 years he was lucky to find a group of specialists who helped him overcome his dyslexia and attention deficit, and that motivated him to study about learning disorders in order to help children.

He is a specialist in Hearing and Language, Child and Developmental Neuropsychology, Master Specialist in Child Neuropsychiatry, Pedagogical Director of the Center for Attention to Educational Diversity, CADE, Technical Director of the Active Education Foundation, Psychopedagogical Director of the Lumen Project of educational and psychological care of a group of children and adolescents in reception centers, trainer of education professionals in schools and regular lecturer in ADHD congresses nationwide.

He is Co-founder of Niuco, a project that aims to transform education and institutions through Neurodidactics, leading a culture change in the educational environment based on science.
