next to a colloquium with the director, Francisco Gilbert, and sexologist José Alejandro López Noguera |

This Friday, October 18, the Cartagena Piensa program of the Department of Culture shows the documentary "... And me, why not?"

at 19:00 in the Assembly Hall of the Higher Technical School of Agronomic Engineering, within the cycle Thinking Disability.

It will be attended by Francisco Gilbert, photographer and audiovisual producer, author of the documentary, and José Alejandro López Noguera, educational counselor, sexologist and president of Assex (Association of Educational Sexuality).

This activity is part of the cycle that next Friday, October 25 will end with the workshop "Dare to think for yourself", taught by Juan Carlos Morcillo of the School of Free Thought.

The Thinking Disability cycle is possible thanks to the collaboration of several associations and groups that work intensely in favor of the rights of people of various types of disability: Asido, Astus, Ápices, Autismo Somos Todos, SOI, and has the collaboration of the Department of Social Services as well as the Collective of Adult Education Carmen Conde.

ABOUT THE DOCUMENTARY

This documentary deals with how to address affectivity and sexuality in people with disabilities, considered as a natural fact of

person.

Prepared with the participation of great professionals in psychology, sexology specialized in disability, family members and people with intellectual disabilities.

In Gilbert's words "... The main myth is that these people lack sexuality, and that is due to the silence that surrounds them and the invisibility that society gives them."

"I have not spoken with my daughter of coitus yet, but of affection, of people, of women, of men ... the problem is when we want to reduce sexuality to penises, vaginas, coitos and that is not so. We talk about normalized sexuality, to be able to discern how I want a friend, how I want a father ... How you should love someone or want someone "

After the screening, the two guests will open a colloquium.
