Citizens support the creation of a permanent contingent of the EMU and a Mercantile Registry in Cartagena (14/10/2019)

For the deputy Francisco Álvarez, the contingent of the EMU “would allow to have a preventive and proactive response to episodes of storm and catastrophesâ€

Citizens has supported on Monday in the General Affairs Committee of the Regional Assembly a motion asking the central government to create a permanent contingent of the III Emergency Intervention Battalion in Cartagena, to “have a preventive and also proactive response , with the best possible means, before episodes of major storm or catastrophes such as those suffered in recent years in the Region â€, as explained by deputy Francisco Álvarez.

Álvarez, who is the Secretary of the aforementioned Commission, thanked the more than 400 members of the Emergency Military Unit (EMU) deployed in El Raal, Alquerías, Los Nietos, Los Urrutias, Beniel and Los Alcázares “for the work done during the of cold drop in the Region â€and has indicated that“ Cs will always be on the side of those who protect and ensure our safety, as has been demonstrated in carrying as our demands of the National Police, Civil Guard and also of our military. â€

On the other hand, the parliamentary group Cs has also voted in favor of launching a Mercantile Registry in the port city, something that Álvarez describes as “historical claim that Citizens already claimed a year ago, since Cartagena has 30% of the business movement of the Region, and that is included in the manifesto by the City of Justice of Cartagena and its region, with the support of professional associations, neighborhood associations, businessmen, the Chamber of Commerce and associations â€.

Finally, the orange formation has also supported in the Regional Assembly a motion for the qualification of interim, since, according to Deputy Francisco Álvarez, “it seems a contradiction that the University does not recognize the mandatory mentions provided in the Law in the fourth year to Infant Education teachers who want to carry out their activity, just for having been studied in a different university than the one that issued the bachelor's degree â€, after which he added that“ if it is allowed to take mentions in universities other than that in which the title was issued, the logical thing is that they can be recognized later. â€
