López: "Confirmed the transfuguismo of Castejón and his cronies, MC claims that they lose the collective privileges they enjoy" (07/10/2019)

Last Friday came the confirmation of the expulsion by the PSOE of the councilors who attended the last local elections with the socialist acronym and who, betraying the regional and national directorates, as well as their militancy and voters, signed with PP and Citizens known as the 'Pact of Shame'.

Those councilors expelled from the Socialist Party are Ana Belén Castejón, Juan Pedro Torralba, Irene Ruíz, Alejandra Gutiérrez, David Martínez and Mercedes García.

It should be remembered that Castejón and his councilors were already suspended from militancy during the first days of July, while on August 20, his expulsion from the party was known, a measure against which there was an appeal, which was dismissed by the Ethics Committee and PSOE guarantees.

This unnatural alliance, designed by the PSOE transfugal councilors, as well as by PP and Cs to prevent Cartagena's progress and continue to be accountable to its clientele networks, prevents the most voted political force, MC, from training in our municipality from governing. the Cartagena deposited their hopes of change.

In this context, this morning, the Municipal Group MC Cartagena has presented, through its spokesman José López, a letter to the Mayor's Office in which it is demanded that various questions related to the status of non-ascribed councilors of the PSOE transfugees be clarified , as well as regarding the assignment of members of the neighborhood boards among the five municipal groups (MC, PP, United We Can, Cs and Vox), since the PSOE does not have a group in the City Council.

In this way, López explained that "after the expulsion of the fugitives, MC has already requested the City Council to initiate the extinction procedures of the municipal group of the PSOE and reallocate the representations of the groups in the commissions and neighborhood boards."

It is, as explained by the mayor of Cartagena, "of the legal consequence of the expulsion of the PSOE from Castejón and his cronies, who turns them politically into transfugues and legally into unassigned councilors."

López explained that "in accordance with the Plenary Regulations, the Regulations for the Organization and Operation of Local Entities and the Law on Local Regime Bases, the fugitives will no longer form a political group, they will lose the subsidy of 14,000 euros they receive and the rights of use of municipal spaces or the right to hire the 5 employees they enjoy. "

"The increase in salary with which Castejón rewarded Alejandra Gutiérrez will also be lost, apparently for having arrived at the policy driven by economic needs of her activity outside of it," added the spokesman for the Cartagenerist formation.

Likewise, "all the ediles that were of the PSOE will lose the vote in the commissions of the Treasury, Urban Planning or Infrastructure, in which the opposition will remain with a majority to issue the corresponding opinions. And it is necessary to study whether Castejón will lose the presidency of his desired Planning Commission ".

Regarding the Neighborhood Boards, José López has indicated that "Councilor Ortega will have to reallocate the members, as the Regulation establishes that only municipal groups can name them and therefore have representation in them, so Castejón's transfuguism and his cronies will also leave the PSOE without representation in neighborhoods and districts. "

The responsibility of PP and Cs

López has continued explaining "everything we propose after confirming the expulsion of the transfugees are legal requirements, and we already know that PP and Cs are marketing with them to maintain their 'lash'. Arroyo, in particular, does so to fulfill his expectation of occupy the Mayor's Office in June 2021, in exchange for hiring, for example, the Castejón workers in the Mayor's Office or not reassigning representatives at neighborhood boards. "

Therefore, he has advanced that "MC will ensure that if there is any illicit or fraud, including those of a criminal nature such as prevarication or embezzlement of public flows, Arroyo and Padín respond as much as Castejón, because 'trinca' are all".

"And this without neglecting that all the necessary procedures require, in order to apply, the arrival of the official communication of the PSOE to the City Council of Cartagena that we do not believe will delay more in time after having announced it publicly," concluded the Cartagena spokesman .
