The Cartagena Fire Department has received one of the Police Distinctions granted by the Roquetas de Mar City Council, in recognition of the work carried out by the body that participated in September last year in the rescue of some residents of the town of Almeria who had got caught after a traffic accident.
Such a distinction, which has been communicated by the mayor of Roquetas, Gabriel Amat, to the head of the Cartagena Fire Station, recognizes the actions carried out by Cartagena firefighters for the release of the occupants of a vehicle where the five members of a family, two adults and three minors, being able to save the life of four of them.
The act of delivery, which will be attended by one of the distinguished Cartagena firefighters, will take place this Wednesday, October 2, coinciding with the holiday of the patron of the Local Police of Roquetas de Mar. It will start at 8:00 pm at the Castle of Saint Ana.
