The Fire Fighting, Rescue and Civil Protection Service of the Department of Citizen Security of the City of Cartagena has proceeded to preventive closure of beaches in various parts of Los Nietos, Minor Islands and Mar de Cristal, following the recommendations of the Directorate General of Health of the Region of Murcia.
The measure has been taken as a precaution and in the presence of levels of enterococcus above those considered excellent in samples taken at various points along the coast, after the cold drop episode, so the General Directorate of Health has advised against bath until the situation normalizes.
The beaches closed to the bathroom by Civil Protection with a red flag are those of the west in Los Nietos;
also west, in Minor Islands, and Mar de Cristal.
