MC Cartagena will sue the municipal government to end its neglect in San Felix (24/09/2019)

During the next plenary, improvements in various aspects such as sports facilities, security, cleaning and infrastructure will be claimed.

Recently, the spokesman of the municipal group MC Cartagena, José López, accompanied by the mayors of the Cartagena formation, Ricardo Segado and María José Soler, made a visit to the San Félix neighborhood, collecting the numerous complaints of the residents of the area before the neglect of the local government.

Among the many deficiencies of the environment are, as María José Soler has stated, that "a sports court, located on the Piqueta Road and that could be used by the youth of the neighborhood, is permanently closed, something easily remedied if articulate a schedule and opening and closing system for municipal services. "

"The lack of opening of this sports court causes young people to jump to access it, as well as another adjacent trapezoidal space that is also fenced, generating problems of insecurity with their actions, in addition to jeopardizing their own physical integrity, because when the ball exceeds the height of the fence, they jump to private homes to recover it, "explained the councilor of MC.

Likewise, the neighbors have shown their complaints about the inconvenience caused by young people who access that trapezoidal space, from which, on occasion, they throw bottles and all kinds of objects inside private properties, generating tensions and neighborhood discomfort.

Therefore, MC Cartagena will propose, during the next municipal Plenary session of October 2, that the local government tackled this situation by taking measures that could "go through covering the track with a mesh above, so that the balls cannot leave the same, as well as establishing a schedule for opening and closing the track. Also, we will propose to use the 'dead' space between the track and the houses, which could well be a children's play area, and also enable its Opening and closing".

Other problems in San Felix

Similarly, María José Soler has reported another series of deficiencies in this neighborhood "such as the obstacles of metal and fixed fences that are found on public roads in the middle of Avenida Vereda de San Félix, poorly fitted tiles with danger to pedestrians because they they move, bollards and bollards broken, and even walls torn apart and without removing or fixing. "

"Other complaints refer to the lack of litter bins and street cleaning, shortage of public banks, total absence of trees and shaded areas, lack of replacement of street lamps, as well as deficiencies in vertical traffic signaling, having recorded several accidents in crosses, so a review and subsequent municipal intervention is immediately required to avoid greater evils, "concluded the mayor of Cartagena.

In this sense, MC will also demand in the course of the next municipal Plenary the fix of the damages in tiles, walls and bollards, the withdrawal of metallic and fixed fences in the public roads, and improvement of the vertical signaling, all this to the greater as soon as possible
