Neighbors and municipal operators return normal to the municipality after the cold drop (16/09/2019)

Cartagena cleaning services and volunteer neighbors are working hard to clean the affected areas of the municipality after the cold drop of the last days.

On Monday morning, September 16, work has already been completed in El Algar, Islas Menores and Mar de Cristal.

A total of 50 operators are working with machinery to line the streets.

To do this, they are receiving the help of the volunteers, who are focusing on cleaning houses and removing items that have become unusable after torrential rains.

Meanwhile, 14 Tragsa operators are cleaning the beaches of Los Urrutias and Punta Brava.

There in Los Urrutias have been able to recover access to both the school, which has opened this morning, and the medical office, which will not be able to open tomorrow for damages inside the facility, which depend on the Ministry of Health.

The volunteers have plastic gloves, overalls, water boots, sweeping brushes and raederas provided by the Cartagena City Council.

VERY ADVANCED WORK IN THE WEST AREA

Cleaning and access to urban centers in the areas of Perín and Molinos Marfagones are very advanced in the western part of Cartagena.

In addition, cleaning work on Rambla del Parrillar has been completed.

In the Corner of Sumiedo work continues to recover normalcy as soon as possible.

In this area we have worked throughout the weekend with expert personnel in the area, who has been opening access to the roads through a mixed shovel.

OTHER AREAS

In La Aljorra, those responsible for municipal cleaning also expect the work to be completed during this Monday, September 16.

Access to the Algameca Chica has also been cleaned, as well as the streets of the El Borricen area and the boulevards around Alumbres.

In La Palma, cleaning work will begin this Tuesday, September 17.

In this deputation, a tree that fell into the schoolyard has already been removed.

Throughout the week they will continue cleaning work in Bahía Bella.

The extraordinary cleaning work that is being carried out in the different neighborhoods and districts of Cartagena is scheduled to end on Monday, September 16.

However, ordinary cleaning work will be reinforced throughout the municipality, paying special attention to the areas most affected by the passage of the cold drop last week.
