The Local Police of Cartagena has informed of the speed controls that will be carried out during the week of September 2 to 8.
These will be located in different neighborhoods and districts of the municipality such as:

146 BREACHES IN THE SPECIAL TRAFFIC CAMPAIGN
During the week of August 12-18, the Local Police of Cartagena carried out a special speed control campaign coinciding with the traffic campaign.
In it, a total of 8,188 vehicles were controlled, of which 146 were fined for speeding, that is, 1.78% committed infractions.
Local Police of Cartagena recalls that the Road Safety Law and the General Traffic Regulations set the regulations applicable to generic and specific limits of speed, speed in overtaking and distances between vehicles.
Failure to comply with these rules is classified as a serious or very serious infraction, sanctioned with fines of 100 to 600 euros.
Article 379 of the Criminal Code establishes that “whoever drives a motor vehicle or moped at a speed greater than sixty kilometers per hour on urban roads or eighty kilometers per hour on long-distance roads as permitted by regulation, shall be punished with the penalty from prison for three to six months or for a fine of six to twelve months and work for the benefit of the community from thirty-one to ninety days, and, in any case, to the deprivation of the right to drive motor vehicles and mopeds for more than one and up to four years. ”
