Last days to know, through a sound map, the history of the 25 years of the La Mar de Musicas Festival.
The exhibition 'Not only, but also' can be visited in the Exhibition Hall of the Municipal Auditorium El Batel until Friday, August 30.
The exhibition covers a part of the history of the festival from its beginning in 1995, with no more than ten invited artists, until its XXV edition, with the now essential program of the Mar Chica, Art, Letters or Cinema.
A novel exhibition in which attendees have been able to connect with some of the artists who have gone through the festival.
Visitors have heard in a different way the sounds that have passed through the Cartagena festival, and have returned to meet in an intimate way with the stories that the artists have transmitted every July for twenty-five years just by putting on the headphones available In the sample.
Through a sound map, they have been gradually introduced into the objects of this exhibition.
Photographs, catalogs, official posters of the festival and many other pieces that make up this exhibition, designed by Cartagena architects Pepo Devesa and Mario Méndez.
This exhibition is a selection of works that have created a whole world of stories parallel to music, stories of cultures, of art, of characters, and all through exploration processes in different contexts and territories.
Graphic, sound and visual work intermingles to introduce the visitor to the universe of The Sea of ​​Music.
