The Roman Theater begins September with the battle 'Scipio versus Anibal' (26/08/2019)

On the occasion of the Festival of Carthaginians and Romans, where history is revived, which will be held from September 20 to 29, the Museum of the Roman Theater of Cartagena launches the family activity 'Scipio versus Hannibal.

The battle continues. '

The family activity will begin on September 7 and can be held every Saturday of the same month, starting at 11 am, and allows participants to know the most relevant events of the Second Punic War and its protagonists, Hannibal and Scipio , as well as, one of the most emblematic buildings of the Roman city, its Roman Theater, which was built in the time of Augustus.

The children will be part of a troop or a legion, and will celebrate the triumph in the Theater.

For this, clothing will be provided for the setting.

The price of this activity is four euros.

Already at night, at 9 pm, you can enjoy the theatrical night visit 'Aulaeum, down the curtain'.

The great Roman architect Vitruvius will offer his vision of the theater with him you will enjoy a night visit to the most emblematic work promoted by Augustus in the old Carthago Nova.

The end of the trip culminates with the unexpected appearance of the imposing grandstand of the Roman Theater in the moonlight, there visitors will be reunited with the classical theater by the hand of Plauto.

In addition more routes and activities on Tuesday, September 3, you can take the guided route 'Citizens of an Empire'.

A guided route from the Museum of the Roman Theater, which will continue through the Barrio del Foro Romano, and will end at Casa de la Fortuna, at 11 am.

On Thursday, September 5, the guided route 'Cartagena Tres Culturas' will take place.

This route will reveal the medieval history and the confluence of the three cultures: Christian, Jewish and Muslim.

It will begin in the Panoramic Elevator, arriving at the Castle of the Conception, from where the whole city can be seen.

The visit will continue along the Church of Santa María la Mayor until you reach the Museum of the Roman Theater, at 11 am.

Friday, September 6 is the turn of 'From Qart Hadast to Carhago Nova'.

The route begins in the Punic Wall that Asdrúbal Barca raised, and conquered Publio Cornelio Escipión, until Carthago Nova;
