The Infant School of La Aljorra will open its doors in September managed by the Department of Education (29/07/2019)

The mayor of Education, Irene Ruiz, has recently visited the facilities of the Infant School of La Ajorra, an educational center that will open its doors in September managed by the Department that directs.

In total, the Cartagena City Council has remunicipated three CAIs in the last 3 years, that of Pozo Estrecho, La Palma and La Aljorra.

The investment made by the consistory, of more than 48,000 euros, has been destined to redistribute educational spaces, and expand classroom measures to adapt them to current legislation on nursery schools.

"In recent months, facilities have been prepared so that everything is ready at the beginning of the course and classes can begin normally," said Ruiz.

This educational center has received a total of 25 applications for enrollment of boys and girls between 0 and 3 years old, which has allowed two classrooms to be qualified for this course, one for students of 1 and 2 years and another for those of 2 and 3 years.

Ruiz recalled that there are still free places in this Municipal Children's School for the next academic year.

The remunicipalisation of this school will generate four new jobs among the educational staff and a new job in the company that manages the school canteens.
