The Exhibition Hall of the Municipal Auditorium El Batel hosted on the morning of Monday, July 22 the presentation of the exhibition of La Mar de Músicas 'Not only, but also' (Not only, but also), which can be visited up to 30 of August.
'Not only, but also' covers a part of the history of the festival, from its beginning in 1995, with no more than ten invited artists, until its XXV edition, with the now indispensable program of the Mar Chica, of Art, of Letters or Cinema.
The Councilor for Culture of the City of Cartagena, David Martínez, who has attended the presentation of the exhibition, whose official opening will be at 10 pm, explained that in a graphic, visual and sound "the attendees will meet again the intimate stories of the invited artists and they will travel to other countries of the world with only the headphones. "
Through a sound map, they will be introduced little by little into the objects of said exhibition.
Photographs, catalogs, official festival posters and many other pieces make up this exhibition, designed by the Cartagena architects Pepo Devesa and Mario Méndez.
Pepo Devesa, one of the authors of the exhibition, pointed out that "the sample is divided into two related parts.
On the left, there is the graphic part, while on the right, attendees will find five audiovisual booths and one sound. "
Another of the designers, the architect Mario Méndez, stressed that "depending on the day, a different music will sound, which will make the public want to return to the exhibition to know what will be the next day".
