The need for action

Multiple sclerosis is a chronic condition of the Central Nervous System that progressively affects the patient.

They suffer symptoms such as fatigue or reduced mobility and loss of sensation in extremities.

Its progressive effects end up triggering a total incapacity for mobility.

Patients require almost continuous family care.

To a greater degree, as the disease progresses, so it is essential to host a Day Center, where they can interact, exchange experiences and, especially, promote comprehensive physical rehabilitation treatments that can include face-to-face activities of different types (physiotherapy, sports therapeutic, hippotherapy or speech therapy).

In this way, an improvement in the living conditions of patients and their caregivers would be deepened, also encouraging 'family respite'.
