Directors of Telecommunication schools throughout Spain highlight the good employment prospects for their graduates (28/06/2019)

The thirty directors of university centers that teach graduate studies in Telecommunications have concluded their annual meeting at noon, called Codigat, which this time has been held at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT).

The directors have shared perspectives on the job opportunities of graduates in Telecommunications, on the adequacy of the existing titles to the new professions demanded by the market and on the promotion actions that are carried out to promote vocations in this sector.

In the final conclusions of the event, organized by the director of the School of Teleco of the UPCT, Juan Angel Pastor, and José Javier Medina, responsible for Universities of the Graduate College and Technical Engineers of Telecommunications, highlights the concern for increasing vocations in This field because "the demand for work is growing and unstoppable by the digital transformation of the whole society," they say.

In fact, it is estimated that Europe will need more than 900,000 'telcos' in the next five years.

Currently, the Spanish Telecommunication School graduates less than 2,500 of these professionals each year.

Their employability is almost total, of around 95%, as they have indicated
