The elders of El Albujón celebrate their day at the festivities in honor of San Juan Bautista (27/06/2019)

The Albujón is celebrating its patron saint festivities in honor of San Juan Bautista until June 30.

Yesterday, Wednesday June 26, 130 senior members celebrated the Day of the Third Age with numerous activities such as a Mass, at 11 o'clock.

After this religious ceremony, a coexistence meal of the Association of the Third Age was held at the Hotel Restaurant Manolo.

The food, which served as a closing of all the activities that have been developed during the course such as: Gerontogimnasia, free time workshop, memory training program, table games championships, was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Cartagena, Noelia Arroyo, the president of the Federation of Elders, María Beteta and technicians from the Department of Social Services.

In the act they met the godfather, godmother and bridesmaids of the festivities and several prizes were handed out, among them, the oldest in the whole deputation of Cartagena.

On this occasion, this distinction fell to Damián Ros Sánchez.

Also, the trophies were presented to the champions of the board games.

In addition to the convivial meal, the Domino Championship was held at the Third Age venue and the musical group 'Dúo Jema' performed.

Today, Thursday, June 27, is Women's Day and a meal has been scheduled with the ADESMA Association, in the pools of Santa Ana, where the Councilor for Culture, Youth and Equality of the City of Cartagena, David Martínez, will attend. the performance of the comedian Larry and later, the musical group 'Dúo Primera Linea'.
