The young Cartagena artist Sam Scasso exposes his subjective experience in'Qualia, fractals of the same origin' (24/06/2019)

The Subjective Room Nicomedes Gómez of the Palace of the City of Cartagena hosts a new exhibition starting on Thursday, June 27.

The young artist from Cartagena, Sam Scasso, presents his subjective vision at the 'Qualia, fractals of the same origin' exhibition at 8pm, which can be visited until August 31st.

Sam Scasso, born in Cartagena (Spain), in 1992, is the artistic pseudonym of José del Cerro Scasso.

At the age of fifteen, he began to take photographs and write poetry, thoughts and stories for later.

Two united disciplines that have given life to the concepts that emerged from the texts.

From a dreamlike and nostalgic prism, Sam stages his unconscious through magical situations and subjects.

Parallel worlds, enchanted objects and unreal landscapes occupy a central place in his works, which address topics such as psychology, existentialism or spirituality.

What is the subjective experience? Why is it there and what is being transformed?

'Qualias' are the subjective qualities of individual experiences: the pain of pain, the sadness of sadness is defined by the experience of the subject who lives it.

'The Qualias' manifest the unique nature of every living being and, therefore, its reality.

These special qualities of the conscious experience are those that differentiate our true particular essence from that which surrounds us.

In this way, understanding our 'Qualias' would allow us to identify ourselves as individuals.

'Qualia, fractals of the same origin' addresses this issue through a set of photographic and written visions from the imaginary of Sam Scasso, where feelings and emotions take a leading role, in order to identify their fractual nature and at the same time, only.

The exhibition can be visited from Tuesday to Friday, from 10 am to 1:30 pm and from 5 pm to 7 pm.

In addition, it can be visited on Saturdays and Sundays, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and also, on Saturdays there are afternoon hours, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Access to the exhibition is free without the need for entry.
