NAVANTIA will incorporate 106 new workers this year in Cartagena (06/06/2019)

NAVANTIA Cartagena has reached an agreement with the social representation of the workforce for the incorporation of 106 new employees throughout this year.

In this way, the Strategic Plan 2018-2022 is complied with, which also includes the fact that all employees who reach 61 years of age during the Plan's validity leave their jobs.

This agreement will now be taken to the local commission of employment in the factory, which will decide the distribution of each of these places according to the needs of the workload and the profile that is required.

The intention of the Human Resources Department in the Dársena de Cartagena is to publish the different selection processes as soon as possible.

The Strategic Plan promoted by Navantia

On December 20, 2018, the Navantia Strategic Plan agreement was signed for the years 2018 to 2022, in which a Workforce Rejuvenation Plan was agreed to ensure the competitiveness and sustainability of the company, while guaranteeing the existence of stable and quality jobs in the geographical areas in which it operates as the main industrial employer.

As a consequence of this, and in compliance with the provisions of the Intercenter Collective Agreement of Navantia, on February 21, 2019, the Central Employment Commission was established.

The purpose of this is to develop an Employment Plan that allows defining the criteria and hiring models, in order to face the workloads and programs that Navantia aspires to execute.

The company, during the period of validity of the Strategic Plan, guarantees the hiring and incorporation of 1,658 workers into its own workforce.

To speed up the hiring process to be carried out, and to be able to meet the current workload of the different Navantia centers, on April 30, 2019 the Central Employment Commission agreed to distribute the 563 entries for the year 2019.

The Central Employment Commission will be in charge of the follow-up of the hiring, as well as, in its scope, the local employment commissions of the different work centers.
