The City Council requests the temporary hiring of 16 unemployed to develop projects in Culture, Education and Youth (08/05/2019)

The Local Government Board has approved at noon the projects that will be presented to the Local Public Employment Program in its call for 2019, for which it will request the Employment and Training Service (SEF) a grant of about 300 thousand euros for the hiring of 16 unemployed of diverse professional categories during a period of six months.

The projects have been presented by the councils of Education, Culture and Youth.

In Education has presented the project of access to employment of unemployed people for the adaptation and refurbishment of spaces and public buildings of the municipality of Cartagena, which will entail the hiring of six maintenance pawns.

In Culture, the Culture and Citizenship project has been presented, in which two socio-cultural animators will be employed.

Finally, in Youth, the project of actions in favor of youth, employment and equality has been presented, which includes the hiring of auxiliary personnel, in particular six unemployed.

Among other issues, the Governing Board has also approved the submission of three projects to the call for aid under the local participatory development strategy of the Local Action Group for Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Region of Murcia (GALPEMUR) in the framework of the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund for the years 2019 and 2020.

The projects are directed to the edition of a guide of submarine itineraries of the municipality of Cartagena, a video of the Fish Market of Cartagena and the creation of a marine route of the Villa County of Santa Lucia.
