INAUGURATION 'THOSE GREAT UNKNOWN' AND CONFERENCE 'THE GREAT FORGETFULNESS: WOMEN AND WOMEN IN MUSIC'

Among the activities planned in the Entre Cuerdas y Metals Contest, we present today two new ones: the "Those Great Unknown People" Exhibition and the conference by Eduardo Molero - Musicologist and Professor of Music History at the Conservatory of Music of Cartagena -, "The Great Oblivion: Women and Women in Music".

These activities are born around the tribute that the Contest does to Clara Schumann, on the occasion of the bicentennial of her birth, and to the rest of those great "unknown" women in the field of composition and who have contributed so much to the History of the Music, and that we want to value by taking them out of that "Great Forgetfulness" to which they have been subjected.

The Inauguration of "Those Great Unknowns" will be at 7:30 p.m.

in the Regional Assembly of Murcia and half an hour later, at 20:00 h.

The conference "The Great Oblivion: Women and Women in Music" will take place.

The Exhibition can be visited at the Assembly until April 9, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
