The coalition formed by the three parties and independent picks several proposals on employment and is committed to continue working to regulate the schedules of supermarkets on Sundays

Since the candidacy share the concerns of CC.OO.

on unemployment rates in the municipality, the precarization of female employment and the necessary industrial reconversion of Cartagena

Yesterday afternoon, diverse members of the candidature of Unidas Podemos IU and Equo met with representatives of Workers' Commissions in the region.

They report from the nascent coalition that the meeting has been very fruitful, and that it has served to share concerns and collect demands and first-hand proposals that will be focused on the electoral program.

Pilar Marcos, mayoral candidate for Podemos, stressed that "This coalition is born with the firm intention of serving as a tool for ordinary people, workers, and that is why we fully share the concerns of the union: figures unemployment in Cartagena that are not reassuring, increasing job insecurity that is affecting women, or the need for the municipality to undertake a real industrial restructuring. "

Since the coalition have been transferred to union representatives that one of the strong stakes of the coalition is to recover the direct management of privatized public services: a remunicipalization that involves subrogation of contract staff, improving their conditions and rights, as well as ensuring that public services are provided efficiently and in compliance with contracts.

Aroha Nicolás, candidate for IU, has continued to highlight the coalition's commitment to the promotion of small and medium enterprises, the reactivation of the Commerce Council (which has been paralyzed for years) and to work together on a Local Employment Plan "It is necessary that the City Council put all its means to get stable and quality employment, and leave once and for all of this spiral of poverty and precarious work that we suffer especially women."

Antonio Ortiz García-Vaso, of Equo, confirmed that the coalition will continue to support, as it has done up to now, the demand of the union and of the small merchants in relation to the opening of the big shopping centers during Sundays: "Since the candidacy we fully share the proposal of CC.OO.

so that in the big surfaces do not work every Sunday of the year This is a fair demand that enhances local trade and proximity, reactivates life in neighborhoods and towns, and guarantees the reconciliation of family and work life of workers and workers. "
