Cartagena is hosting a national basketball tournament.

From Saturday March 16 and until Tuesday 19, youth teams and cadets from all over Spain compete in the Palacio de los Deportes for the 1st Basketball Tournament 'Cartagena Ciudad de Tesoros'.

Unicaja de Málaga, Tecnyconta Zaragoza, Combinado Cartagena, UCAM Murcia, Fuenlabrada Baloncesto, Lucentum Foundation, CB Andújar, Joventut de Badalona and CB Benidorm are some of the teams that are participating in the tournament.

In total there are 16 clubs in competition, divided into two categories.

In addition to the dispute of this tournament, complementary activities are being carried out, such as a triple All Stars contest.

The Councilor for Sports, Manuel Mora, attended the sporting event on Sunday.
