Cartagena Port of Cultures reinforces its activities for the Bridge of San José (15/03/2019)

The museums of Cartagena Puerto de Culturas will open this San José bridge to the public.

Guided and dramatized routes, as well as family activities, will be intensified.

On Monday March 18 you can visit: the Punic Wall, the Barrio del Foro Romano, the Refugio Civil War Museum, the Panoramic Elevator, the Concepción Castle, the Roman Theater Museum and the Tourist Bus and Boat.

On Saturday 16 and Tuesday March 19 there will be a dramatized route: 'Romans for the World: Destination Carthago Nova'.

In it, a journalist will interview the Romans who settled in the city, who will teach the public how they lived in Carthago Nova during the Roman Empire.

During the route, you can visit: the Roman Theater, the Forum Quarter, the Hot Springs, and the Roman house of a rich merchant.

This tour will start at 11:30 am.

Admission costs 14 euros for the general public, and seven for members of the Club Cartagena Puerto de Culturas.

On Sunday, March 17, those interested will have the opportunity to meet the "Treasures of Rome: Muses of Carthago Nova".

This guided tour will take you to see the ornamental program of the Roman Theater, with beautiful marble pieces and the magnificent rooms of the Forum Quarter where important sets of paintings have appeared.

There will be a stop on the way to the Consistorial Palace, where you will find the wonderful paintings of the god Apollo and the muses Calíope and Terpsícore, unique pieces in the international scene.

The departure will take place at 11:30.

The individual ticket is worth 14 euros, while the reduced ticket for groups costs 12 euros.

The members of the Club Cartagena Port of Cultures will have the entrance to 7 euros.

Also on Sunday, March 17, there will be a special theatrical visit that will begin at 11:30 am, at Casa de la Fortuna.

The tour will go to the Augusteum to reveal rituals and secrets of ancient Rome by the hand of a lover of Julius Caesar who met when the general visited Carthago Nova in the first century BC "3 Weddings and a General" is a theatrical visit friendly and rich in knowledge of Roman daily life.

Admission costs 6 euros for general public and 3 for members of the Club Cartagena Puerto de Culturas.

On Sunday, March 17, 'Teo Jones and the Secret of the Goddess Isis' will introduce the attendees to the adventures of Teo Jones, curious and adventurous boy passionate about ancient civilizations.

On this occasion, Jones will discover the secret that surrounds the goddess Isis in the Barrio del Foro Romano.

An activity full of mysterious adventures and hieroglyphics to bring the little ones closer to the Roman world.

The departure will be at 12 hours from the Barrio del Foro Romano.

The general price of the tickets is 8 euros, except for members of the Club Cartagena Puerto de Culturas, who will have them for 4 euros.

In addition to these routes, there is the possibility of visiting, on Saturdays and Sundays, the virtual tour of the Roman Theater.

A guided tour with virtual reality that will allow you to immerse yourself in the old building, visualizing it in 360 degrees, flying over it to know it as it was in its time.

The visit will begin at 11 o'clock.
