Cs asks the local government to correct the errata and misspellings in the inscription of the monument to the Carnival (13/03/2019)

After receiving criticism and complaints from neighbors on their social networks, Citizens today asked the Executive of the PSOE to correct the typos and spelling errors in the inscription that appears on the Cartagena Carnival monument, an allegorical set located in the surroundings of the Plaza from Spain, at one end of La Alameda de San Antón.

"It is a pity that this wonderful work that honors the value of our Carnival is tarnished by something like that and is the subject of mockery in social networks," said the spokesman of Cs Cartagena, Manuel Padín, who recommends the local government to put more attention and better control all the phases that take part in the installation in the street of these elements to avoid "monumental kicks to the spelling".

Cs has been able to know that the Carnival Federation of Cartagena has not been responsible for the error and has also requested that it be corrected.

In the text that appears in the monument, (which has cost 15,000 euros and was inaugurated on March 2), you can read "This work in homage to the Carnival of Cartagena was inaugurated as mayor of Cartagena Mrs. Ana Belén Castejón, and President of the Carnival Federation, Mrs. Carmen Sánchez.

February 2019 ".

In addition to the incorrect simplification of the diphthong 'au' in 'a' in the spelling of this verb, the capitals have not been used properly.

The names of the positions, such as president, minister, attorney general and similar terms, are always written with a lowercase initial, since they are common nouns.
