Jesús Giménez: "It is paradoxical that they want to charge the Cartagena people seven million for a plot of land for the City of Justice and, however, make an excuse that you have to rent a place so as not to create a new Court"
MC Cartagena has indicated its full adherence to the agreement of the Governing Board of the Bar Association of Cartagena on March 1, 2019, which calls for the immediate construction of the City of Justice and that the District be endowed of a new Civil Court, calling for social mobilization in the face of this new injustice.
The president of MC Cartagena, Jesús Giménez, has stated that "they warn us of another injustice for Cartagena, a new evidence of the continued mistreatment of the administrations of our municipality and its region".
Giménez lamented that "they have been deceiving us with the City of Justice for decades and, now, they deny us a new Court of Instance because there is no place and they would have to rent a place, without taking into account that the overload in civil and family matters is of 200% in the courts of our judicial district ".
"It is paradoxical that we want to charge the Cartagena 7 million for a site for the City of Justice and, however, make an excuse that you have to rent a place to not create a new Court," said the leader of MC.
The Cartagena president has announced that "our municipal group will demand the immediate convocation of the Board of Justice, created by Mayor José López, to deal with this matter."
Finally, he concluded by calling on all authorities to "leave the announcements, move to action and budget and start the City of Justice project so that it does not serve as an excuse for his own negligence or bad faith to punish the judges of our Region ".
