A study room has been inaugurated in El Albujón with 18 positions that will work 24 hours a day (24/02/2019)

The mayor Ana Belén Castejón has opened this afternoon the new classroom Albujón study, which has cost 18,000 euros and has 18 study posts

This new infrastructure is a commitment of the Government team to improve the services of this town.

The study room will be open 24 hours a day.

In addition, a 24-hour video surveillance system and access control with a user card has been installed.

"Our goal is to provide all residents of El Albujón with a public space in which they can study or perform their school or university work in the best conditions," said Castejón.

The classroom is connected to the municipal Wi-Fi network and has been fully equipped with new furniture and an air conditioning system.

The information regarding the access and use of the room will be published on the municipal website www.cartagena.es from Monday, February 25, 2019, as well as the instructions to connect to the Wi-Fi network.

With the user card that facilitates access to this new classroom, you can also enter the El Algar.

"We are creating a Municipal Network of Study Classrooms in our neighborhoods and councils.

The Albujón and El Algar are the first but we already have other locations planned, "said the mayor.

Although the municipal resource that is inaugurated depends on the Department of Education and has been driven by Mercedes Garcia, the implementation is thanks to the coordinated work of various councils.

The inauguration was attended by the councilors Juan Pedro Torralba, Mercedes García, Manuel Mora and David Martínez, along with other members of the Coporación and the president of FAPA Cartagena, Francisca Galindo Soria.

NEW CHILDREN'S PARK

On the other hand, this morning has also opened the new park of the Plaza de la Juventud in El Albujón.

This infrastructure has cost around 60,000 euros and has been done thanks to the Participatory Budgeting.

It has a rubber floor adorned with children's drawings and a circuit of traditional games, and diverse set of inclusive games adapted to different capacities.

The neighborhood association of El Albujón has been commissioned to hire the animations of the characters that have decorated the celebration and with the aim of collaborating with the association Dgenes of Rare Diseases, for which they have distributed some solidarity bracelets among the attendees.
