The existing plaza next to the entrance of the Palace of Sports of Cartagena, on Avenida del Cantón, will carry since Friday, February 22, the name of Luis Ruipérez Sánchez.

The mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, together with the widow and children of the honoree will discover the plaque during the formal ceremony to be held from seven in the afternoon.

The nomination agreement was unanimously adopted by the Municipal Corporation on October 30, 2018, after concluding a file of honors and distinctions in which numerous adhesions were registered, highlighting the figure of Luis Ruipérez, lawyer, dean of the College of Cartagena, processionist, great sports lover, politician and former councilor, who died in July 2011.
