This Tuesday, February 19, the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, has received at the Palace Hall, along with the Councilor for Equality and Youth, David Martinez the winner of the Extraordinary Youth Award convened by the Youth Department, Irene Pardo Sánchez, for his work 'Towards precision medicine: Melanoma.

The young woman thanked the council for giving her the prize among all the candidates, "it is a very nice initiative to promote women in science" he says.

During the next three years he will do a doctorate thanks to a scholarship that will allow him to continue investigating melanoma.

"We are very proud to have young people like her who have dedicated their youth to study and train that was the main objective of this award," says the Councilor for Equality, "there are not many women who have been able to become known by science and that has been hidden throughout history. "
