Servicios Públicos invests 24 thousand euros in improving the playgrounds of Playa Honda and Playa Paraíso (13/02/2019)

The Department of Public Services and Participation of the City of Cartagena has invested some 24 thousand euros in improving the playgrounds of the coast.

Specifically, in Playa Honda and Playa Paraíso, where the municipal investments have been directed to replace and expand the attractions for the little ones and provide them with greater security with a fence around the play area.

The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, and the Councilor for Infrastructure of the City of Cartagena, Juan Pedro Torralba, visited the facilities this morning to see first-hand how the work has been done.

In Playa Honda, in the children's area located between the streets Rio Tajo and Rio Jalón have been invested about 10 thousand euros, to recover the elements and adapt them to current regulations, to install new games and provide the enclosure with a fence.

The playground area of ​​Playa Paraíso is located on Calle Dios Baal Amón, where almost 14 thousand euros have been invested.

The actions carried out have also consisted of their recovery and adaptation to the regulations.

In particular, the pavement has been conditioned by surface excavation and the addition of new sand;

restoration of existing elements (two swings and a labyrinth) and supply of two new slides, in addition to the removal of deteriorated banks and installation of a perimeter fence.
