The reigning stage of the Interclub Trophy Campo de Cartagena - Mar Menor will pass through two mountain passes (01/02/2019)

On Sunday, February 3 at 10:30 am, the fourth race of the 29th edition of the Interclub Campo de Cartagena - Mar Menor Cycling Trophy will start at the Tentegorra Park.

This new stage will have a total route of 80 kilometers.

You will pass through the municipalities of Cartagena, Fuente Álamo and Mazarrón.

It is expected that more than 180 cyclists from all over Spain will participate.

The Councilor for Sports of Cartagena, Manuel Mora, was present at the informative presentation.

This cycling race is organized by the Cartagena Cycling Club in collaboration with the Cycling Federation of the Region of Murcia.

Also collaborate the City of Cartagena, through the Department of Sports, and the municipalities of Torre Pacheco, Lorca, San Javier and La Union.

The exit of the test will be done from Tentegorra Park.

It will have a route where alternating flat stretches with mountainous areas, such as Alto de la Cuesta and Alto del Cedacero.

There will also be a flying goal at Pozo Estrecho.

The cyclists will finish the race in Tentegorra.

The test has several categories: junior, sub 23, elite, senior, master 30 and master 40, veterans 50, veterans 60 and women.

In all of them, a trophy will be given to the winner or winner.

There are also special mountain trophies, flying goals and regularity.

The Councilor for Sports, Manuel Mora, defines the cycling race as "a classic that we are sure will bring many athletes from the national level, especially the Spanish Levante."

The General Secretary of the Cartagena Cycling Club, Francisco Díez, considers this new stage as the most important of the eight that make up the 2019 edition of the Interclub Campo de Cartagena - Mar Menor Trophy.

"It goes up the Alto de la Cuesta, the Alto del Cedacero and has an explosive ending."

In addition, on the other hand, the club has also organized two ultra-round cyclotourist marches for the 9th of February and 9th of March.
