Jaume Martínez Bonafé will talk in Cartagena He thinks about'An education for the emancipation of the human being' (29/01/2019)

This Wednesday, January 30, at 7:00 p.m. in the Assembly Hall of the Higher Technical School of Architecture (ETSAE), and within the schedule of the V Conference on Education for the 21st Century and the Cartagena Piensa, which organizes the Department of Culture, Jaume Martinez Bonafé will offer a talk entitled "An education for the emancipation of the human being."

The event will be attended by the councilors of Culture, David Martinez, and Education, Mercedes García, of the City of Cartagena, and the presentation will be borne by M. Eugenia Sanchez Vidal, Coordinator of Teaching Innovation of the UPCT.

THE AUTHOR

Jaume Martínez Bonafé was a school teacher in his first ten years as a teacher.

Of humble origin, since adolescence he always combined study with work and political activism in social, union and environmental organizations of the left.

He is currently a PhD in Philosophy and Education Sciences and full professor in the Department of Didactics and School Organization of the University of Valencia.

He has taught courses, seminars and conferences in various Spanish and Latin American universities.

Founder and prominent militant of the Pedagogical Renewal Movements, he has taught courses, seminars and conferences in various Spanish and Latin American universities, appearing in different "doctorate of quality" programs.

He is the author, among other works, of Programming and Evaluation of Teaching (in collaboration with B. Salinas) (1988);

Pedagogical Renewal and Professional Emancipation (1989);

Curricular Projects and Teaching Practice (1991);

Didactic Planning and Teaching Professionalism (1993);

Work at school.

Faculty and reforms at the threshold of S. XXI (1998).

He directed an investigation for the CIDE on the possibilities and limits of the school as a public sphere, from which emerged the materials Viure la democracia a l'escola (2000), forthcoming in Spanish.

He regularly collaborates in different Spanish and foreign education magazines.

He currently directs research on control policies through curricular material, and on the relationships between knowledge and power in the discourse of teacher training.

He is a founding member representing the University of the Paulo Freire Institute of Spain.

He has represented the Pedagogical Renewal Movements in the First World Education Forum held in Porto Alegre, Brazil.
