MC Cartagena will reject the socialist proposal of the TAXI regulatory order for neglecting the demands of the sector (25/01/2019)

This morning, the deputy spokesperson of the Municipal Group MC Cartagena, Isabel García, has advanced the positioning of its formation before the next Finance and Interior Commission to celebrate next Monday in relation to the municipal ordinance regulating the urban passenger transport service in tourism vehicles by TAXI in the municipality of Cartagena.

"We will find it impossible to support the proposal presented by the PSOE Government because, a year later, we discovered that nothing has been achieved." What we are trying to find is a text that has been made by the sector, not collecting the claims of the associations ", Garcia has begun explaining.

The PSOE despises the contributions of the sector

Then, he has listed some of the "oversights" of the Castejón Executive, underestimating the main needs of the sector.

Thus, the new ordinance does not contemplate that Eurotaxis or adapted taxis "can meet specific service demands even if by calendar they are established, have the obligation to rest, all in order not to neglect the demand, given the current shortage of this type of vehicles. "

Similarly, professionals in the sector advocate to ensure that you can request "the suspension of the license for personal reasons, provided that the provision of the service is guaranteed, without requiring dismantling the taxi equipment or perform the administrative process of change of vehicle use, that is, that the individual service provision takes into account the personal circumstances that can change the situation of each professional, something that seems reasonable ".

They are not the only gaps that the socialist project includes, which, moreover, does not guarantee that "a maximum quota of license suspension is established even though the provision of the service is guaranteed, which is not logical given that the sector is currently oversized."

Without a trace of the Strategic Plan

After arguing, the Cartagena leader regretted that "we continue without a Strategic Plan for the taxi sector, when Castejón fails to comply with another of our amendments, those that remedied his squalid and ineffective budget, in this case the sector suffers the consequences of a solution part of the administrations regarding the reduction of licenses and reconversion of the sector ".

"We remind Castejón to abandon his aversion to MC projects because it does not harm us, but the citizens, who he betrays daily," he concluded.
