Caridad Gil shows 'The women in you' at the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center (25/01/2019)

The exhibition 'Las mujeres que hay en ti', by the artist from Cartagena, Caridad Gil Lurquí, can now be visited at the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center, where it will remain until March 6.

The opening ceremony, this Thursday, January 24, by the Councilor for Culture of the City of Cartagena, David Martinez, was accompanied by the musical performance of the group Egío Jazz Quartet.

The artist invited the attendees to title their works according to what is in question, with the aim of making them participants of them.

The exhibition aims to reflect the power of drawing to communicate feelings that we are not able to verbally reflect.

The artist Caridad Gil has thousands of dolls that she has drawn in her life.

Some reflect rebellion, others uprooting, illusions, frustrations, joy ...

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Caridad Gil Lurquí, was born in Cartagena, is a graduate in Child and Primary Education by the University of Murcia.

Music teacher in active since 1988, has spent most of his professional life in the stage of Primary, and Educ. Children, where he has always worked in artistic activities applied to teaching.

In the musical field, he has composed children's songs and author's music, acting as a soloist accompanied by his guitar, in numerous events and by the instrumental group Egio Jazz Quarter. He is currently part of the Iuvenis Música choir, and of the workshop "El Desván" "

He has participated in collective and individual exhibitions within the regional environment, receiving prizes and accésits in some of them.

Currently belongs to the collective La Compañia de Mario with which he has developed various multidisciplinary activities, as well as mural painting works in several educational centers of the Autonomous Community.

Passionate about the arts in painting, music and theater, she has always looked for ways to unite them as the maximum exponent of interpersonal communication.

In this exhibition, the faces of women mixed together as life itself, has tried to communicate feelings and sensations of the female condition.
