Between Strings and Metals exceeds their expectations regarding inscriptions received in this edition of the contest, organized by the Department of Youth and Conservatory of Music of Cartagena, 201 presented.

Of the 10 modalities summoned, the following will be performed: ROPE, PIANO, WOOD WIND, METAL WIND, PERCUSSION, FLAMENCO GUITAR and CHAMBER MUSIC;

GUITAR, CANTE FLAMENCO and CANTO are not carried out, because they do not reach the minimum of 12 requests in each of them, as stipulated in the competition rules in this edition.

In Cuerda, 23 applications were submitted;

Piano, 17;

Wind Wood, 55;

Wind Metal, 21;

Percussion, 16;

Flamenco Guitar, 14 and Chamber Music, 11 groups, totaling 37 components in this modality;

from different conservatories and music schools throughout the region, such as: the Music Conservatory of Cartagena, Murcia, Lorca, Molina de Segura, Caravaca, Cieza, San Javier, Jumilla and the Anmavi Professional Music Education Center.

Taking into account also as specified in the rules of the contest, that having exceeded the 30 applications in the modality of Wind Wood, proceeds to select, through the study of the academic records, the contestants who will participate in this modality in the XXII edition, meeting the list published on the website of the contest: https://juventud.cartagena.es/gestion/documentos/31998.pdf

The contest consists of two phases, one eliminatory and another final taking place during the months of March and April, in the Auditorium of the Conservatory of Music of Cartagena.

The entrance to the concerts will be free and free until full capacity is reached.

DELIVERY OF PRIZES AND CLOSING CONCERT:

The Awards Ceremony and the Closing Concert will be held on May 17 at 20:00 in the Batel Auditorium and Conference Center, where the jury verdict will be announced in each of the contest modalities.
