The deadline to participate in the new General Plan of Urban Planning of Cartagena begins (04/01/2019)

The citizens of Cartagena will be able to participate from Tuesday, January 8, in the elaboration of the new General Plan of Urban Ordination of the municipality.

Until March 5, any person who wishes to do so, after identification, will be able to give their point of view on the urban planning of the city from the website that has been made available for this purpose: www.plangeneralcartagenaparticipacionciudadana.es.

You can also participate through the neighborhood tables prior registration in the mail participa.plangeneral@upct.es or through open workshops.

Cartagena thus becomes the first municipality of the Region of Murcia that submits to citizen participation the elaboration of the progress of the Generale Plan.

In addition, the city will be the third nationwide to submit its General Plan of Urban Planning to public consultation.

For this the municipality of Cartagena has been divided into four large areas, facilitating the work of the neighbors: west, north, center and east.

PARTICIPATION THROUGH THE WEB

Neighbors can enter each of the maps to know the alternatives of development that exist to review.

In the case of the western and northern zones there will be 2 development alternatives;

while in the central and eastern zones there are 3 development alternatives.

But these alternatives are open, since citizens can suggest modifications of each of them.

PARTICIPATORY WORKSHOPS

The residents of Cartagena will also be able to participate in the open workshops, which will address issues related to mobility, infrastructures, the environment, equipment or sustainability, among others.

The workshops will be held in different public places and each will be developed in two days: the first, dedicated to information, recognition and analysis and the second, to the proposals.

Once the registration is made, the participants will be informed of the details of the process.

In addition, attention service and children's entertainment will be available to facilitate conciliation.

The list of entities that will be invited to participate is composed of representatives of 53 groups such as professional associations, public institutions, environmental, neighborhood, educational, social, cultural, youth, senior, economic, mobility and accessibility associations and means of communication, among others.

EXPERT PANEL

Interviews with the professionals will take place from January 14 to February 1 and will involve experts in Territorial Planning and Urban Planning;

experts in Economics and Environment;

and experts in Public Management.

FINAL PHASE

Once all the proposals have been collected, as of April 1, the Municipal Plenary must approve the progress of the PGOU establishing a period of exposure to the public of one month.

During these 30 days, any citizen may submit suggestions that the government team may or may not incorporate into the final document before sending it to the CARM.
