More than a hundred people, from different parts of the country, have moved to Cartagena during these days for the Second Master of Cartagena Youth.
The National Badminton Tournament of the Sub 15 and Sub 19 categories is celebrated on the 3rd and 4th of January at the Sports Palace.
It is the most important tournament on the national scene, just behind the Spanish championships.
In total there are 121 players who meet during these days in Cartagena, from 38 different clubs in nine autonomous communities, including the Basque Country, the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands, and among which are also five Cartagena players.
"More and more sporting events of national character are held in the municipality and all thanks to the opening of the central court of the Sports Palace.
Its characteristics make it an ideal place to host many championships, and that brings very positive consequences for all ", explained the Councilor for Sports, Manuel Mora.
It will be a real marathon since more than 300 games will be played.
This Thursday, the 3rd, the previous, the eighth and the quarter-final, and Friday the 4th, the semifinals and the final.
In addition, in both Sub15 and Sub 19 will be played individual male, female individual, male doubles, female doubles and mixed doubles.

This tournament is organized by the Cartagena Badminton Club and the Department of Sports.
