Councilman David Martinez has pointed out that one of the objectives of the government team has been to lay the foundations that allow us to have a city in which access to culture is a priority, which is extended to all its aspects to form a plural Cartagena and criticism.

He also said that the last Governing Board approved an agreement of 15,000 euros for the Youth Symphony Orchestra and another 50,000 euros for the Symphony Orchestra of Cartagena, to carry out a series of concerts throughout the year .

The price of tickets for the Christmas Concert on Sunday, December 30, is 8 euros and can be purchased at the El Batel Auditorium box office or on its website.

The president of the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Cartagena, which was launched in 2016, has indicated that this concert marks the beginning of a collaboration agreement between the two orchestras, while emphasizing that thanks to this union it is reinforced the relationship of companionship between professionals and young musicians, which represents a great opportunity for those who are starting.

On the other hand, Álvaro Pintado has indicated that the more than 80 musicians who will be on stage will perform a very attractive program, in which the audience will be able to listen to the Sinfonía Sevillana, by Joaquín Turina;

the Bacchanal Dance of Samson and Dalila, by Camille Saint-Saëns;

the Nutcracker, by Tchaikovsky and, finally, the Ravel Bolero.

Leonardo Martinez has highlighted the work of the Department of Youth and Culture for all that is generated in Cartagena at the musical level, while has indicated that the cities of the future are those that bet on culture and education, in a context marked by lack of sensitivity.
