The XXIII Solidarity Gala of the Hospitality of Santa Teresa returns to El Batel this Friday, December 21, at 9:00 p.m.

This year is celebrated under the title 'Now' with the aim of raising funds to continue to help and welcome homeless people in the municipality.

The Councilor for Social Services, Mercedes García;

the president of the Hospitality Foundation of Santa Teresa, Vicente Villar, and the technical director of the gala, José Torres, offered, this Monday, December 17, all the details of the solidarity event.

As recalled by the mayor of Social Services, the Santa Teresa Foundation is active since 1916. It is a charitable institution that provides shelter to homeless people to meet their basic needs.

The facilities are located in the neighborhood of San Antón and from there they serve homeless people, immigrants, the unemployed and people with lack of economic means, "who present a high level of vulnerability and a high risk of social exclusion," Garcia explained. .

The Hospitality has capacity for 89 people, and in cases of emergencies it can provide shelter for 120 users.

"A place where specialized people work but also many volunteers whose work is essential," said the mayor.

The technical director of the Gala, José Torres, wanted to remember the figure of Antonio Galindo, who has always been busy organizing and offering the best for this gala but, for reasons of health, this year has not been able to take charge.

Thus, Torres has outlined the outline of what will be the gala in its XXIII edition, whose conductor musical thread will be in charge of the group 'The Troubadours'.

Diego Pedro Plazas, Lola Cayuela, Salvador Salas, Carmen Belén and Torres himself will also put the soundtrack to the Gala.

Cristina Galindo will present the Gala, as tradition has been, and Antonio Torralba will put the touch of humor to this festive night.

Among the repertoire you can listen to 'Alma Llanera' and 'La Flor de la Canela', where Diego Pedro will adapt to the rhythms of Los Trovadores.

For her part, Lola Cayuela, winner of 'Entre Cuerdas y Metales' in the flamenco category, will perform with Salvador Salas.

The student of the Conservatory, Carmen Belén, will put the most Italian note to the event.

The duo formed by José Torres and Pablo Monteagudo will perform their own version of 'Ramona', and Torres will give voice to 'En mi viejo San Juan' and 'Rosas Rojas'.
