The European Business and Innovation Center of Cartagena facilitates the creation of 357 jobs in three years (15/12/2018)

Convert into viable companies the enterprising eltalento that has the Region of Murcia is one of the objectives of the regional government with special dedication in the European Centers of Business and Innovation of Murcia (Ceeim) and Cartagena (Ceeic).

This last one, has counted in the last three years with helps on the part of the Autonomous Community by value of 1.028.000 euros and has allowed the creation of 357 places of work, 296 direct and 61 indirect.

The director of the Institute of Development and president of Ceeic, Joaquín Gómez, attended this week the board of directors and the general assembly of this body, which since its creation in 1992, has hosted more than 280 companies.

Currently, it has 31 firms, with an average stay of 2.86 years per company.

To these results we should add Ceeic's efforts to increase the reputation of entrepreneurial projects, such as obtaining the Seal of Technology-Based Innovative Enterprise (EiBT), participation in prestigious awards or Open Innovation events, as well as the participation in I + D + i programs.

Likewise, the Ceeic also hosted the Second Edition of the 'Go2Work Cartagena' program, which included comprehensive training for entrepreneurs, personalized advice by experts, access to a network of entrepreneurs and mentors, and support, both physical, in the form of space for Collaborative work, as a technician, for those who finally choose to develop their business idea.

"The regional government, through the strategy C (i * EMP) 2018-2021 entrepreneurship will continue to support the creation of new innovative and technological companies, accompanying them in its early years to achieve its takeoff and viability. that there are more employment opportunities and that this is of high quality, and studies indicate that the survival rate of companies housed in nurseries and incubators is 20 to 30 percentage points higher than that of other projects, so we will continue to support these infrastructures ", concluded Joaquín Gómez.
