The book of the facts, by Diego Sánchez Aguilar] | A vibrant dystopia full of ethical dilemmas that invites the reader to rethink his most intimate convictions.

In a country installed in an eternal economic crisis with which it wants to justify all kinds of sacrifices, corruption and impunity dominate political life, and resignation and fear have taken over the people.

When the body of the President of the CEOE appears hanged in a bull of Osborne, Rosa is torn between the instinctive horror of violence and the desire for that murder to become the trigger for the revolution.

This is the starting point of the Factbook.

The book of the facts and also one of the many ethical dilemmas that take place in the novel, inviting the reader to rethink his convictions and to ask himself what he has done, what he could have done and what he is doing.

In this dystopian world coexist an illegal clinic of cryogenesis in La Manga del Mar Menor, a clandestine social network (Factbook) whose members incite to rebellion through the objectivity of facts and data, terrorist groups with names of rock band , agents that monitor and control social networks in search of conspiracies and enemies of the system ... Despite its fantastic appearance, Factbook is, above all, a lucid analysis, neither complacent nor nostalgic, of the last thirty years of society Spanish and a whole generation: the one that lived 15M as a turning point that seemed to open a door to something that was not well known what it was.

SOME SALES ARGUMENTS: WHY CAN FACTBOOK INTEREST WITH READERS?

1. Factbook: the book of events is an attractive dystopia with fantastic elements but, at the same time, very attached to contemporary reality.

In fact, it is the successful assembly between dystopian and real elements, which allows the reader to approach, in a different way and with more lucidity, the social and political situation of present-day Spain.

2. The issue of terrorism, the identity of the murdered characters (IMF Director, CEOE President, Employment Minister ...) and the open possibility of a citizen revolution against those responsible for cuts, corruption and repression social, are current problems, not exempt from controversy, which will not leave indifferent readers or critics.

3. The recurrent theme of the apocalypse, the feeling that everything is about to explode, or even the latent desire that everything explodes, that crosses the character of Rosa, is one of those "silent desires" or hidden feelings with the that many readers may feel identified.

4. The non-complacent vision offered by a whole educated, university generation, ballasted by selfishness and superficiality, also promises fiery interpretations of the debated paradigm of the new generations.

5. The cultural, musical, cinematographic references (with special emphasis on series) and artistic references that define the characters of the novel, especially Gustavo, are a very powerful element of reader recognition, and make Factbook a very generational novel .

All the "Radio 3 generation", university and educated, which is now between thirty and fifty, will be directly portrayed and interpellated.

6. The fantastic element of the clandestine clinic of cryogenesis, as a kind of assisted suicide to redeem the feeling of guilt for a life of selfishness and indifference, about Factbook to the imaginary of Science Fiction and is one of the great successes of the novel .

7. The literary style is very careful and full of fragments of clear poetic vocation, but, at the same time, the voices that narrate in the first person are direct, simple, oral and agile, allowing access to a wide reading public, not necessarily specialized in the "literary narrative", as it happened with the previous book by Sánchez Aguilar, New theories on female orgasm, which has had great success both critically and publicly and is already running out its second edition.

8. Literally, this novel is indebted to the great renovating writers of the North American narrative: Pynchon, DeLillo and David Foster Wallace.

However, the controversy of its themes and its social relevance can also bring it closer to authors who open new narrative paths, but with great sales success such as Manuel Vilas, Agustín Fernánez Mallo and, above all, Michel Houellebecq.

9. Diego Sanchez Aguilar is an active agent of literature and culture of Murcia and national, usual contributor with reviews and articles in the magazine "The colloquy of dogs" and close friend of most writers in the region as Miguel Ángel Hernández , Ginés Sánchez, Manuel Moyano, Leonardo Cano, José Óscar López.
