MC: "The Castejón project is running out of time" (14/11/2018)

This morning we knew through the newspaper 'La Verdad' that the socialist government of Ana Belén Castejón has missed the deadline without submitting the candidacy of the City of Cartagena to the Urban Areas of Regeneration and Rehabilitation (ARRU) program.

This initiative is part of the State Housing Plan 2013-2016, extended in October 2017.

In this way, the Consistory and, therefore, the neighbors, are again victims of the grotesque incapacity of Castejón and his team, losing the option to pay for projects to improve degraded public spaces.

Likewise, residents in the area that they have chosen will not have the possibility of receiving subsidies for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of homes from the 2018 budget.

In this context, the spokesman of the MC Cartagena municipal group, José López, began his speech by noting that "Castejón has missed the deadline, it represents an outdated policy with no ideas, just pending the window dressing. obviously, they do not care. "

He then remarked that "now we understand his refusal to give explanations in Casco Antiguo, they should have known that they had missed this call, the same as last year the manager agreed with the neighborhood associations and that we extended the Ensanche".

She continued explaining that "this program is not suitable for Cartagena, we know that the Autonomous Community is not interested in our needs, but as the proverb says 'for the house even if it is a stone.' But she and her followers are still intrigued. , sell smoke and distribute the money that we leave for works and projects, not to optimize it ".

"We do not rule out that he even loses the funding for the ARRU, in front of Sister Francisca Armendariz, because his specialty is losing."

Distinction between ARRU and EDUSI

For general knowledge, López has explained the differences between the grants offered by the ARRU and the Sustainable and Integrated Urban Development Strategy (EDUSI).

"The ARRU are direct aids that are lost EDUSI are competitive competitive aid that are distributed according to the criteria of the Murcian Government, of which, in 2016, corresponded to Cartagena, by score, 4 million euros. In the following call they were handed over to Murcia (18 million euros), the rest to the municipality of José Miguel Luengo, San Javier, and the Cieza de Teodoro García, PP brand they call it ", said the Cartagena leader.

"To this we must add", he continued, "that the EDUSI of La Manga is paralyzed, and although it should focus on Cartagena because it is the area of access and promote mobility, it is blocked by the regional government's desire to do politics in San Javier and against Cartagena. "

Asphalting in Plaza de Alicante and Alameda de San Antón

López has addressed other current issues, such as the asphalting of the Plaza de Alicante and the Alameda de San Antón.

"We are very afraid that they will not comply with the serious and complete projects that are needed and that we leave them written, because with the deadlines that they manage, and after distributing the budget of these works in RED hours and salary increases to Socialists, they can not undertake no serious project, "he clarified.

José López concluded by stating that "knowing their micromanagement, they will have thought about putting on a five-month layer, what is left for the Cartagena people to throw out and from MC we can continue to build a municipality."
