The exhibition 'Essential, 50 years later' honors the figure of Antonio Oliver Belmás (13/11/2018)

The Exhibition Hall of the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center will be the setting for the opening ceremony of the "Essential, 50 years later" exhibition, which aims to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the death of Antonio Oliver Belmás, founder of the Popular University in 1931 .

The event, organized by the Popular University of Cartagena, will take place on Wednesday, November 14, starting at 7 pm, and admission will be free.

The event will be attended by the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón;

the Councilor for Culture, David Martínez;

and the curator of the exhibition, Cristina Navarro.

The participating artists have created works in which they have included, totally or partially, a copy of the book Poesia Esencial, Antonio Oliver's last published book of poems.

They are Aisa Boaa, Aitor Coa, Antonio Ribelles, Beatriz Saura, Belén Orta, Cata Rsis, Cristóbal Barbero, Domingo Llor, Lola Nieto, María José Contador, Mateo Ripoll, Nicole Palacios, Salvador Torres and Virginia Bernal.

The sample can be visited until December 20;

and is framed in the programming of Poesía Deslinde Festival, which revolves around the Antonio Oliver Belmás International Poetry Prize.
