On Thursday, November 8, the City Hall received 25 students from Linden High School in the district of Linden, New Jersey, in the USA, who participate in an International Baccalaureate program.

The reception was run by the Councilor for Education, Mercedes García;

who has told them the most curious and important data of the municipality, delving into the beauty of its modernist monuments and the landscapes of Cartagena.

The young people, coming from the USA, have received a gift as a souvenir of their visit to the Town Hall;

and will spend the day visiting the most important monuments of the municipality, such as the Roman Theater and the rest of the tourist itinerary of Cartagena Puerto de Culturas.

The International Baccalaureate Diploma program is a two-year educational program that is taught in three languages, English, French and Spanish, and is aimed at non-university students between the ages of 16 and 19.

The students of the IES Alfonso X El Sabio de Murcia went, in the framework of this program, to the US from September 12 to 28, where they visited cities such as New York, Philadelphia and Washington.
